Today we got given a task to create an slide on 5 different category's they where animal, vegetable, fruit, sport and pet. After we had completed the task we shared it with another group and they had to try and guess what it was. Honestly I think I mad mine a bit to easy but yeh and i also forgot to make on on a vegetable.

Yesterday we watched tutorial on how to draw an orca from Anton the whale man. The drawing took me around 20 minutes to draw as we had to stop the video a few times. What is the most interesting fact.
Here´s some facts about orca whales...
1. The orca is the largest member of the dolphin family.
2. The orca is also called a killer whale.
3. They are really noticeable because of their black and white color.
4. The male has a really big dorsal fin.
5. They have a bulbous head.
6. Their nose is called a nostrum.
7. They have big sharp teeth.
8. they like to eat stingrays.
9. their flippers are really noticeable.
10. The flipper is like a big paddle.
11. The blowhole is like a nostril.
12. The tail is called the fluke
13. They are black on top and white underneath.
14. Their lower jaw is white.
15. The tummy pattern is shaped like a wave.
16. The saddle is often a grey color.
17. The saddle is like a fingerprint to orcas.
18. They track orcas through their saddles.
19. They are really fast.
For today one of our tasks was to read an article called living on the ice. Then after we had read the article we had to find the definition of each word. I made mine on Canva and i took me around 30 minutes to make and publish on my blog. What was the most interesting word for you?

Today we made weetbix slice, the first thing that we did was of coarse wash our hands. Then we got into groups of four and numbered ourselves from one to four. The past few days for writing our task was to make a presentation on something about the Olympics like a sport, person, history or even the country. I chose to make mine on the weirdest sports that have been or still are in the Olympics. The weirdest sport for me we poodle clipping what was the weirdest for you? I don't really know why I made this I just thought it would be something interesting.
Today's task for storytelling/writing was to write a five minute story about skydiving.
Here's my story tell me what I should do next.
I felt he air whistling in my ear I looked down bellow the houses looked like grains of sand and the people were to small to see. I checked the thing that would break my fall my parachute and against my will jumped. The wind slapped my face as I screamed. I released my bright blue parachute and slowly drifted down to the ground like a leaf falling from a tree. I was nearly at the ground, my feet thudded onto the thick vibrant green grass, I was safe. "I AM NEVER DOING THAT AGAIN!!!" I said a bit too load the instructors stared at me as if I was eating grass for a few moments before returning to their work. 
For maths I have been learning how to convert fractions into decimals. It was quite challenging as I didn't quite get it at the start but I do now. I hope you enjoy my post and learn something new.
For one of our tasks for this week we had to make a video on why you should comment on blogs. The reason we did this task was to encourage others to comment on blogs. I used Canva to make this video, it took me around 45 minutes to make this video. The hardest part of making the video was the elements that I put in. What other reasons do you think there are to comment on blogs?
On the 31st of march 2021 we went of a sailing trip to Lake Roto Kohatu. The sailing trip was free of charge as we used the money for the upper middle camp that was meant to happen last year. We had to be at school by 8:30am and the bus left at 9:00, the bus trip took only 15 minutes as the lake that we were going to wasn't that far away. Once we arrived we got taught how to set up the boats and the names of the different parts like the sheet ( the rope that made the sails move ) and the tiller ( the steering handle). Also how to move from side to side when you turned the boat so that you face the boom ( a metal pole). then we got changed into our wet-suits and togs and our groups took turns on going out on a boat to prove that we could sail safely. After we ate our lunch then we took the boats down to the water and took turns in our groups to sail. While someone in our group was sailing we would support them and help them get on and of the boat.
Our boat was hot pink so we called it barbie and our boat was number 26. After we had been in the water for a long lime we took the boats out ( which was really tiring) and learnt how to and took the apart. then we got on the bus and arrived back at school a little after 3.

For a warm up for storytelling/writing we had 5 minutes to write a paragraph about someone on a canoe in the way-finder before or after the storm ( I chose after.) and write about how hungry they are.
Here's my work I hope you like it!
I sat there huddled in a corner of our broken wooden canoe. The storm had taken so many lives and on-top of that I felt as I hadn't eaten in 10 years. My sight was bury and everyone around me either morning for their loved ones or was dead. I was so cold it felt as if i was covered in ice. My clothes clung to me as if the would plummet into a volcano if they let go, everyone around me started to look Delicious. I started to gnaw on a paddle I kind of cured my hunger I don't know. My eyes were about to close and I couldn't think.
The sea around me roared threatening to swallow me up every time in crashed onto the boat but I didn't care anymore I felt so empty that I kind of wished it would.
On the morning of Monday the 29,3,21 we did a clean up of some of our school garden. We collected potato's, pumpkin, silver-beet and zucchini. It took around 35 minutes, we took the plants out as the school is going to upgrade the irrigation system. First we collected the vegetables, then we pulled out the rest of the plans/weeds and put them in a compost bin which is now overflowing . After that we picked up the tiny bits of leaves and trimmed the herbs. I had to go and help setting up assembly so I was away for a little bit of it. When I had finished setting up I helped make the zucchini and potato soup and the silver beet chips. On Thursday with the pumpkin and carrot we will be making pumpkin and carrot cake. hope you enjoyed my post.
On the 10th of march we/the senior syndicate went to Hanmer springs for 2 nights, the bus ride took around 1 hour and 30 minutes. In my bunk room there was Ashly, Tiare,Laisa,Lola and Avryl. we stayed at Activity Hammer, here's the Activity's that we did and some pictures.
For one of the activates for reading we had to make a list of all of the races, and make a pie chart of the wins. The thing that took me the longest was the list and we had to write down the year, defender,country, challenger, country and the winner for 36 different races which took a long time.

For storytelling we had to write a description about how we think Manu ( The main person from our storytelling story the way-finder) would look like and give our description to the person next to us and the would draw a picture of him from the description. In the way-finder the tribe, manu and his brother/way-finder set out to find a new island as the one that they had been living on had grown to small, but then they start to run out of food and water and a great storm kills the way-finder. So manu ( who was training to be a way-finder had to step in and help navigate his tribe to a new island. My buddy was Lola, I thought Manu was short, girlish, tan skin, scars, cut in his eyebrow, muscular and smiling most of the time.
15th of march 2021. For reading we have been learning about Americas cup. One of the activity's was to make a presentation with ten questions about Americas cup.

On the 1st of march we made zucchini brownie which might not sound very nice , but it is actually really good ( you can't even taste the zucchini!) We got the zucchinis from our school garden and found the recipe from this website.
