Alison smith

Today one of our reading tasks was to chose one of the tasks from a task board which was based of the Paralympics. I chose a task where I had to make a description on someone from New Zealand who has gone to the Paralympics. I chose Alison smith. I made this poster on a canva. this task took around half an hour to complete.

  1. Kia ora Emma,
Thank you for sharing your post on Alison Smith. I like the 3 facts you have put on your canva - next time you could add 2 more pieces of information.
Imagine what it would be like to win a medal at the Paraolympics...how do you think you would feel?
What makes Alison Smith a paraolympian?
    Stay safe,

  2. Hi Emma,

I like the way you presented the facts that differ in fonts and colors. Your presentation looks well-organized and attractive in general. Well done!
I agree with Miss McCombie that next time, you could add a few more pieces of information in.
Which Paralympics did Alison attend? How old was she when she won the bronze medal?
    Have a lovely week Emma!

  3. Kia Ora Emma,
I love the way you have displayed Alison Smith's fact file, it looks professionally done.
I did my fact file on a para swimmer called Tupou Neiufi. She went to her first Paralympics at the age of 15! That is an extremely young age as she was still only a young teen.
Next time, you could add in some more facts such as: When was she born? Where were her Paralympics held? What years did she compete at the Paralympics?
    Enjoy the weekend.

  4. Kia ora Emma - you are so clever at creating a post using Canva! I love the moving star that you have added! I didn't realise New Zealand has only had one athlete (to date) to represent New Zealand in shooting at the Paralympics. What a wonderful achievement for Alison Smith. I wonder what year/s Alison attended the Paralympic games, as the photo you have included looks like from some years back. How come you choose to research Alison Smith? Take care. Jen TA

  5. Hello Emma,
I really like your choice of template for this post.
    Rifling must be hard,
I have only ever held a gun at camp once and it was incredibly heavy,
the aiming bit is really hard as well.
Maybe you could have put in time and date of which Paralympics she competed in and maybe a reason of why you choose her.
Hope you have a great day!
